Using the guides

Turn reading into a product and site check.

Separate product facts from site facts

Use a guide to understand material construction, care and common installation limits. Then check the actual product code, current documents, existing surface, clearances, moisture, traffic and room use separately. A general article cannot approve one SKU, current product batch or one site condition by itself. Record unresolved questions before shortlisting.

Compare the same scope across quotations

Bring the same area, photos, floor or wall condition, accessories, trims, preparation and timing to each quotation. This makes it easier to see whether a lower number excludes levelling, transitions, skirting, fixing, furniture movement, disposal, delivery, access planning or another part of the completed work.

Keep the supporting record

Save the product code, approved sample, product sheet, warranty or care terms and accepted quotation together. Check that the supplied code, accessories and document version match those records at delivery and handover. Ask for clarification when a claim, installation requirement or specification is not written for the selected product. Keep photographs of labels and completed edge details with the handover record.

Guides by space

Read for the room or property you have.

Property rules, existing floors, door clearance, traffic and furniture loads can change what should be confirmed before installation.
